New Look for Artist by Design Studio

This blog allows me to put into place my creativity. As an artist , you are always changing , evolving and growing. Sometimes l feel unfocused because l am doing so many things but it just means l have many interests in many aspects and mediums of art. Always learning.
That is where my passion lies.
I have a love of the old world heritage. Due to my German background l collect and use a lot of vintage and collectible items in my work. Also working in theatre and film, it reflects on my flair of the whimsy.
I like to have fun with my art. It makes me giggle.
Starting out as a original dollmaker, l am always looking to perfect my figurative art, sculpting techniques and costume design.
My most favourite medium in doll making is using paper clay and fimo to sculpt the faces.Then paint or make them up .
Not afraid of colour or going over the top!
Presently doing a new series of drawings of my theatrical ladies for new art cards.
It is making me realize how much l want to make some new dolls as art! So inspired.
Not enough time in the day!
